From 1975 to April, 1976, Mr. Giesa worked as an Assistant Attorney General for the State of Washington with his responsibilities divided between representation of state community colleges and enforcement of the state antitrust and consumer protection laws. In April, 1976, he became one of the firm's founding principals. John enjoys a Martindale-Hubbell AV rating. During 2005, he taught Business Law as an adjunct professor at Gonzaga University in Florence, Italy. John has been listed in Best Lawyers in America for the past eleven years and is listed in the 2010 Edition under Commercial Litigation.

He concentrates his practice on complex commercial litigation and dispute resolution for both plaintiffs and defendants. He also serves as a neutral mediator in commercial disputes. His extensive commercial litigation experience includes RICO cases, class actions, complex multi-party cases, complex bankruptcy litigation, antitrust, securities fraud, lender liability, professional liability, minority shareholder oppression and similar corporate disputes, partnership disputes, insurance bad faith and coverage disputes, business torts, franchisee disputes, real estate disputes, commercial contract cases, and products liability and personal injury litigation.
